ECS expands with partnership between GAC and IAG Cargo

ECS Group has further expanded its international network – with a new partnership between Globe Air Cargo (GAC) NL and IAG Cargo – the freight division of the International Airline Group (IAG).

GAC NL, is a general sales agent in the Netherlands and member of ECS Group with its headquarters in Paris, and has forged an operative agreement with IAG Cargo to expand and optimise its services for freight customers.

This strategic move is in line with the ECS Group’s target to offer customised solutions according to international standards and deliver maximum efficiency gains to customers across the globe.

As of 1 March 2018, GAC NL supports IAG Cargo in commercial development and reservations. Among major operating companies of IAG are Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Level, and Vueling.

ECS Group has already been representing IAG Cargo in Germany, Austria, and Scandinavia before IAG Cargo formed the partnership with GAC NL.

ECS Group chief executive officer, Adrien Thominet said: “We are delighted that IAG Cargo has chosen Globe Air Cargo to develop their product in The Netherlands. Our team will benefit from the combined expertise of ECS Group offices and the synergies this will bring.”

Apart from forging the new cooperation with IAG Cargo, 2017 was a very successful year for Globe Air Cargo – with new contracts strengthening GAC’s position in the Dutch market.

GAC NL managing director, Mariët Zöllner added: “Last year was characterized by organizational growth and development. We have invested in young professionals and will focus on innovative projects and tools to further improve our services and position in the market. With our new partner IAG Cargo we are ready to face the challenges of any further market development. We are in for another good year.”
