Oman Air Cargo has suspended services to several Middle Eastern destinations because of ongoing regional airspace closures.

Flights to and from Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and Dubai remain on hold, the airline confirmed. Operations across the rest of its network may also face delays as aircraft are required to take longer alternative routes.

Cargo Rescheduling Underway

The carrier said it is working to reschedule affected shipments once there is greater clarity over airspace restrictions.

All customers with impacted cargo are being contacted directly to confirm the status of their consignments, and the airline has pledged to provide regular operational updates.

Additional Capacity Planned

To mitigate disruption, Oman Air Cargo plans to add extra belly hold capacity over the coming days. Additional flights are scheduled between Oman and key markets including the United Kingdom, Europe, India and parts of Asia.

The airline said the move is intended to support freight flows while regional restrictions remain in place.

Safety Measures in Focus

Oman Air Cargo said the safety of its staff remains its top priority. The airline is working closely with relevant authorities and airport partners to ensure appropriate precautions are maintained during the period of disruption.

The latest suspensions come amid wider aviation challenges in the region, with airspace closures forcing carriers to adjust flight paths and review schedules.
