Peruvian ground handling specialist Talma has secured a new contract with Sunrise Airlines to provide ground and cargo handling services for the carrier’s Miami–Lima–Miami route, operated twice weekly in coordination with Luftcargo.
The flights strengthen trade links between Peru and the United States, transporting a mix of general cargo, perishables, dangerous goods, high-value items and temperature-controlled shipments.
Under the agreement, Talma will oversee aircraft servicing on the apron from arrival to departure, as well as manage cargo operations for Sunrise Airlines in Lima through its specialised logistics processes.
Edgardo Carbonel, General Manager of Talma Peru, said: “We are very pleased with this new addition. Our solid financial position, proven experience and track record as a leader in the airport sector were decisive in securing the award.
“Sunrise Airlines joins our portfolio of clients who trust their operations in Peru to Talma. Our commitment is to provide world-class, safe, fast and efficient airport services.”
The partnership reinforces Talma’s position as a leading provider of airport and cargo handling services in Latin America, supporting growing air trade between North and South America.
