Talma, the airport services company in Latin America, renewed its BASC (Business Alliance for Secure Commerce) certification, granted by the World BASC Organization (WBO), for its cargo business unit at Lima, Peru station.
Talma has maintained this certification without interruption since 2003, which reflects its commitment to safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.
In 2024, the WBO recognized the company for having maintained BASC certification for 22 consecutive years, reaffirming its position as a regional benchmark in the airport industry.
Arturo Cassinelli, corporate general manager of Talma said: “This renewed certification is the result of the efforts and professionalism of our team, whose daily work guarantees excellence in each of our operations, aligned with the highest international standards and aimed at promoting safe and reliable trade,”
The purpose of BASC certification is to strengthen supply chain security and control management systems (SCMS), protecting the supply chain against risks such as smuggling, drug trafficking and other threats to international trade.
Its renewal validates our compliance with strict safety protocols and ratifies Talma’s commitment to continuous improvement.
Compliance with the requirements of the BASC standard is a fundamental pillar for the airport and logistics sector, as it guarantees that operations are aligned with international regulations and focused on high levels of safety and efficiency.
