Mammoth Freighters LLC has announced it has reached another major milestone in its 777 passenger-to-freighter conversion program with the completion of the door cutting on AviaAM Leasing’s first B777-300ER.
AviaAM Leasing, a subsidiary of the Avia Solutions Group, is the launch customer for the 777-300ERMF type, with an order of six conversions in total.
Currently, Mammoth has two AviaAM Leasing B777-300ER aircraft on site at its modification partner facility, Aspire MRO, based in Fort Worth, Texas.
Brian McCarthy, Mammoth vice president marketing and sales remarked: “We are very excited to reach this major milestone in our 777 freighter conversion program.
“We are even more thrilled that we will be having our aircraft operating in the world’s crossroads via the Avia Solutions Group’s BBN Airlines in Turkey.”
Tadas Goberis, CEO and chairman of AviaAM Leasing said: “We are thrilled to be part of the prototype development and to attend the door cutting ceremony for our first B777-300ER, which is a momentous occasion for us.
“We eagerly anticipate the operational benefits these advanced freighters will bring to our global network and look forward to continued success in this collaboration,”
AviaAM Leasing has committed to a total of six Mammoth B777-300ERMF freighters.
Mammoth recently successfully hung the Main Cargo Door on its B777-200LRMF.
The aircraft is now having the cargo loading system installed, after which it will begin flight testing.
