Former Polar Air Cargo executive Kirsten Krepp has joined Atlas Air as Head of Global Scheduled Service, marking a new chapter after nearly 24 years with the cargo airline.
Krepp announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post published on 27 May, several months after revealing she would be leaving Polar Air Cargo for a new career opportunity.
“Back in December, I shared that a new chapter was about to begin,” Krepp wrote.
“This spring, I joined Atlas Air as Head of Global Scheduled Service.”
According to Krepp, the role includes a global transformation mandate aimed at strengthening Atlas Air’s scheduled services operations across multiple international regions.
She said the position would focus on developing “a unified, cross-regional operating platform” covering Asia, the United States, and Central and South America.
The strategy is expected to include clearer governance structures, closer integration between commercial and operational teams, and more disciplined management of network performance and contribution.
Krepp also highlighted her longstanding relationship with Atlas Air, having worked closely with the company during her time at Polar Air Cargo.
“Having worked closely with Atlas over many years, it is both familiar and energising to now contribute from within,” she said.
She added that the new role would involve collaboration across regions and departments to improve operational alignment, execution and long-term enterprise value creation.
Atlas Air is one of the world’s largest cargo aircraft operators and provides air freight and charter services for airlines, logistics companies and e-commerce operators worldwide.
