Logistics provider Dachser has appointed Alexander Winter as its new managing director for Air & Sea Logistics in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Winter, who has been with DB Schenker since 1999, succeeds Marc Meier, who will step down at the end of the month.
At Schenker he held a range of senior roles in sea freight and contract logistics, and since 2018 has served as chief executive for Austria and Southeast Europe, overseeing air and sea freight, road transport and contract logistics.
In his new position, Winter will report to Tobias Burger, Dachser’s chief operating officer for Air & Sea Logistics.
The appointment comes as several senior executives depart DB Schenker following its takeover by rival logistics giant DSV earlier this year.
